Chupanoids are a native race loosely related to Insectoids. They have near-legendary status, as they have only rarely been seen in the Echo Cluster. Historical records in the Senate archives describe them as "blood sucking, transdimensional psychokinetic monsters who can tunnel through the ground, fly, and pass through solid matter at will."
Imperial xenoarchaeologists have tentatively confirmed that the original Chupanoids are merely a native variant of the far more active
Horwasp Plague which is even now wreaking havoc on the edges of the galaxy.
