Stack Ships

Starships —> Missions —> Stack Ships

Any starship with the Stackable ability may perform the Stack Ships mission. The following requirements must be met:

Two starships are required for this mission to be successful.
Both starships must have the Stackable ability.
Both starships must set the Stack Ships mission.
The engines and beams in the starships must be of the same tech level.
If both starships have torpedo tubes, they must be of the same tech level.
Starships can not be stacked if they're set to move.

When the starships are stacked, they create a single starship with the combined mass, crew, fuel, cargo, fuel and weapons capacities of the original starships. The starships that can be created with this mission can be found here.

If one of the original starships has torpedo tubes and the other has fighter bays, the bays are discarded. If the stacking is performed at a starbase, and the starbase has adequate torpedo tubes of the same type in inventory, the fighter bays will be replaced with torpedo tubes.

If only one stackable starship is present at a location, this mission is not visible in the starship's mission list.

This mission can't be reversed at a later time.
