Starship Fix/Recycle

A starbase is capable of performing a Fix or a Recycle each turn. Together, they are referred to as Secondary Orders .

Only one Secondary Order can be done per turn. Secondary Orders can be changed at any time.

Fix

After a starship has taken damage, you can use a starbase at the same location to repair the ship. The Fix command will repair all the damage done to the starship in one game turn. It will also bring the starship's crew complement to the normal number of crew members and bring the shields to full charge.

Recycle

The starbase can also recycle old starships. When a starship is recycled using the Recycle command, the following actions are performed on it:

• The fuel is transferred to the planet's surface.
• The torpedoes are transferred to the starbase.
• The fighters are transferred to the starbase. Any excess fighters are destroyed.
• All the remaining cargo is destroyed.
• The engines , beam weapons and torpedo tubes are removed from the hull and placed into storage on the starbase.
• The hull is converted into minerals and transferred to the planet's surface. 100% of the minerals used to construct the hull are recovered, but the megacredits are lost.

The recycling player will gain one PBP/PP.
