Reports

The Reports screen of the dashboard provides a host-generated list of all events which took place during the past turn's host run. Every ship, planet, or minefield that you own may generate one or more reports every turn.

Within each category, the messages that are first generated appear at the bottom, while the messages generated last are at the top.

The following is a list of general categories of reports which may occur. Please note that some rare or race-specific events will not be in this list.

• System: These reports show events of interest to all players. A report is made announcing the start and end of the game, for example.
• Terraforming: These reports show the terraforming events that have occurred on your planets.
• Minelaying: These reports show which starships converted how many torpedoes into how many mines (or web mines ) at which coordinates. They do not contain any information about things that happened to the minefields later in the turn.
• Minesweeping: These reports show which starships swept how many mines from which minefields belonging to whom. These reports are in inverse order of the actual events, which took place during the Host run by order of Starship number. Remember that you cannot see the minesweeping reports of other players, only reports from ships that you own.

  Minefield detonation reports are also to be found in this section. Minefield detonations are caused when two or more standard minefields controlled by hostile powers overlap.

• Colony: When colonies experience unusual events, such as rioting or enemy starships stealing their resources, they will issue reports here.
• Combat: Any of your starships or planets which fought a battle this turn will report the results here, along with any Kill Points awarded (which equates to PBP/PP gained).
• Fleet: Any of your starships which were involved in a warp Chunnel this turn will report the results here. In addition, when a player drops below the Fight or Fail limit, a message about their imminent demise appears here.
• Ship: Here, your starships will report the results of any missions or movement not reported elsewhere. These reports are in inverse order of the actual events, which took place during the Host run according to the Order of Battle. Remember that you cannot see the combat reports of other players, but you can see explosion reports (below).
• Enemy Distress Call: Here, you will see reports on enemy starships that have been damaged by your glory devices , and on the your Pillage and Plunder missions.
• Explosion: When a starship explodes, the shock wave is large enough to be noticed by outposts throughout the Echo Cluster. These are reports of all starship explosions that were noticed by outposts. Certain destruction events, including ship losses due to Glory Device detonation, will not appear here.
• Starbase: These reports show when a planet has successfully built a starbase, a starbase has successfully constructed a starship, or a starbase (under the PQ or PPQ Build Queues) has generated Priority Points. Failure reports will also be issued by any starbase which is unable to perform a requested cloning operation in a given turn. In addition, starbases will report when enemy starships surrender.
• Web Mines: These reports show the starships that are in web minefields and have run out of fuel.
• Meteors: These reports show the mineral composition, location, and (possibly) damage done by any meteors that impacted your planets this turn. In the case of massive meteor strikes, the devastation is so vast that the location and mineral content can be seen across the entire cluster.
• Sensor Sweep: These are planetary ownership reports from your starships which successfully sensor scanned enemy planets this turn. Imperial "Dark Sense" reports have their own section here.
• Bio Scan: These are planetary temperature and native life reports from your starships which successfully bioscanned this turn.
• Distress Call: Here can be found messages sent by ships in your fleet which have either struck mines or encountered other environmental hazards. In addition, most messages from starships that you do not own but that are in distress can be intercepted and a report can often be found here.
• Mine Scan: These reports show details of any minefields (including your own) that each of your starships could see but were unable to sweep. It is important to note that no report is generated if one of your ships fails to sweep an enemy field because it has the same Friendly Code.
• Hisssss!: These reports show details of any Hisssss! missions that your starships performed.
