The Rebel Ground Attack Mission is used to weaken a controlled planet by destroying planetary structures, resources and colonists. This mission is available to players with the Rebel Ground Attack advantage.

This mission causes the starship to send a small team to the surface to destroy planetary structures and resources and kill colonists, which, taken together, cause the colonists to become unhappy. As the colonists that tax and enslave the natives are fewer and unhappy, the natives become happier. When this mission is used, the following will occur:

40% of the supplies on the planet being attacked will be destroyed.
30% of the money on the planet being attacked will be destroyed.
20% of the colonists on the planet being attacked will be killed.
60% of the mines on the planet being attacked will be destroyed.
30% of the factories on the planet being attacked will be destroyed.
20% of the defense posts on the planet being attacked will be destroyed.
The happiness of the colonists will be decreased by 60.
The happiness of the natives (including Amorphous) will be increased by 30.

The Rebel Ground Attack mission can not be performed by more than one ship on a planet. If the Rebel Ground Attack mission lowers colonist happiness enough, riots and civil war may break out, increasing the losses of colonists, factories and mines.
