Lay Hidden Mines

Starships —> Missions —> Lay Hidden Mines

Any starship owned by the Privateers may perform the Lay Hidden Mines mission as long as it has torpedoes.

Hidden mines are small devices filling a circle around a point in space. These function similarly to normal deep space mines, except that, due to the higher complexity of the Hidden Mines, a torpedo will only create half as many mines.

Once created, a hidden minefield will act, in every way, like a normal minefield except that it can't be scanned, swept or countermined until it is rendered visible when a starship impacts one of the mines.

When scooping a hidden minefield, the number of torpedoes built is based on normal mine cost.
