Advanced Cloning

Advanced Cloning is a more powerful form of Cloning , available only in Campaign games. It allows starships to be cloned at starbases after the ship limit has been reached. The following conditions must be met to initiate Advanced Cloning:

• The game must be a Campaign game
• The player must have the Cloning and Advanced Cloning abilities enabled for the race they're playing
• The starship being cloned must be orbiting a starbase owned by the same player
• The starship being cloned must have the Friendly Code CLN
• The player must not have this hull type in their list of buildable hulls in this game
• The starbase must have tech levels at or above the features of the statship
• The starbase must have all the minerals needed to build the statship
• The starbase must have twice the normal number of MegaCredits to build the starship

Unlike normal cloning, which takes place after the first Build Ship function in the Host Order , Advanced Cloning takes place during the first Build Ship function in place of normal build operations. If a starbase is scheduled to build a ship in either the priority build queue (using priority points) or in the normal build queue (by id #) and the starbase meets the above cloning conditions it will clone the ship instead of building any ship it may currently have set to build. The build queue will then move on as normal. The normal ship build will be skipped for this starbase until it is prioritized again.

This advantage costs 55 advantage points and is available to players of:

• The Solar Federation
• The Lizard Alliance
• The Empire of the Bird Men
• The Hordes of Fury
• The Cyborg
• The Evil Empire
• The Robot Imperium
• The Rebel Confederation
• The Missing Colonies of Man

The research cost for this advantage is 1115 GigaCredits.
